MuleSoft Agent Fabric: registry, broker and gateway for agents
Overview
Agent Fabric extends MuleSoft's integration platform to agents. MuleSoft states it is generally available. It targets the problem of agent sprawl: many agents across Amazon, Google, Microsoft and other platforms with no single inventory.
Components
- Agent Registry: a catalog of agents, APIs and MCP tools, with automatic discovery across Amazon, Google, Microsoft and others.
- Agent Broker: routing and orchestration across ecosystems.
- AI Gateway: security, compliance and cost policies.
- Agent Visualizer: a map of the agent network with metrics.
Interoperability
MCP Bridge turns existing APIs into MCP tools, which is useful for enterprises with large API estates. A2A agents connect through pre-built connectors.
Governance
Trusted agent identity and authorization, an agent kill switch, spending limits and model routing.
Pricing
Agent Fabric pricing is not published. MuleSoft's general pricing "starts at $2,000 per month", is credit-based, and is quoted by sales.

How it fits with BAND
Agent Fabric tells you which agents and tools exist and applies policy to how they are called. BAND is where those agents work together on a task with people. An enterprise could use the registry for inventory and policy and BAND for the collaborative work itself.
