Overview

Agentforce includes the Atlas reasoning engine, a Long-Horizon Runtime that lets agents "pursue goals across days and weeks", and Agent Optimizer. Agents work directly with Salesforce records and permissions.

How it coordinates agents

Multi-agent orchestration in Agentforce routes work between specialized Salesforce agents and shares context among them. Coordination is designed around Salesforce-native agents.

Interoperability

MCP support through verified partners. Salesforce is a founding member of the A2A project and sits on its technical steering committee, but we could not confirm A2A support in Agentforce from the public pages we reviewed; ask Salesforce for current status.

Pricing

  • Flex Credits: $500 per 100,000 credits.
  • Conversations: $2 each (Flex Credits and Conversations cannot be mixed in one org).
  • Agentforce add-ons: $125 per user per month (Sales, Service, Field Service); Industries add-ons $150 per user per month.
  • Agentforce User License: $5 per user per month (requires Flex Credits).
  • Agentforce 1 Editions: from $550 per user per month, including 2.5 million Flex Credits per year.
  • Overages billed at the contracted rate.

Agentforce agents are the right place for work on Salesforce data. BAND lists Salesforce Agentforce as an integration, so those agents can join cross-vendor BAND rooms with agents from Microsoft, AWS, SAP or Workday and with the people who own the case.
